Health benefits you’ll find in our new fave 5.4 dish, Japanese Chicken Curry

We’re super excited to be launching our new 5.4 Japanese Chicken Curry! We can’t wait for our contemporary take on a traditional favourite to make it to your dinner (or lunch) plate, because it’s the real deal.

To celebrate us bringing this globally loved dish to life in a CLEAN and tasty version, we’re going to give you a low down on the health benefits of its key ingredients:

Chicken breast

Can you ever go wrong with chicken breast? It is lean, packed with protein, filling and full of beneficial amino acids.

Turmeric

Turmeric is the spice that gives curry it’s yellow-orange colour. It also contains curcumin, which is a very strong antioxidant and has powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Ginger

While giving every dish an extra kick of fresh flavour, ginger can also assist in reducing nausea, pain and inflammation.

Broccoli

Broccoli is a nutritional powerhouse with huge amounts of vitamins K and C, while also being a good source of folate, potassium and fibre.

Red capsicum

Did you know that green capsicums are just unripe red capsicums? This means they have less vitamins and nutrients in them than their red siblings – which is why we only use the red, juicy ones! Red capsicums are a powerful antioxidant, with high levels of vitamin C, vitamin B6 and folate.

Edamame beans

The humble edamame bean is a fantastic source of protein – just one cup of cooked edamame provides around 18.5 grams of protein!
